Lebanon has endured years of crisis. Economic collapse. Conflict. Displacement. Loss. Many families have been forced to flee their homes. Others remain, but their ability to provide for their loved ones has been devastated. In southern Lebanon, Sister Gerard Merhej describes the reality facing many families: “The families that have stayed have no income because they used to work in agriculture.” She continues: “the fields in the area have been destroyed.” For many families, income disappeared when their livelihoods disappeared. Parents who once worked hard to provide for their children now face uncertainty, every day. Many people are struggling simply to meet their basic needs.

Through ACN, emergency food aid has reached families across Lebanon, including support in the Beqaa Valley where food aid and hygiene kits were distributed to people facing severe hardship.
