MASS
for the
departed

There is no greater gift of love than prayer, especially the Holy Mass.

When we offer a Mass for someone who has gone before us, we are not only remembering them, we are accompanying them with love into the heart of God’s mercy.

Each Mass is a moment where heaven touches earth: a sacred exchange of grace between those who pray and those for whom we pray. In that mystery, souls are comforted and love is made eternal.

This November, as we remember the faithful departed, you are invited to entrust your loved ones once more to God’s care.
Offer a Holy Mass: a living prayer that continues to give beyond this life, bringing peace to hearts on earth and light to souls in eternity.

And remember: Gregorian Masses — thirty consecutive Holy Masses celebrated for one departed soul — are among the Church’s most beautiful traditions of remembrance.

Your offering reaches beyond one soul

Every Holy Mass offered through Aid to the Church in Need (Malta) becomes a blessing that travels far, touching not only the soul you remember, but also the lives of those who serve God in places of great need.

When you request a Mass, a priest somewhere in the world will lift your loved one’s name to the altar, uniting your prayer with the sacrifice of Christ. Through his hands, your love becomes Eucharist: light for the departed, and strength for the living.

For many priests in poor or persecuted regions, a Mass stipend* is their daily bread. It helps them find food, medicine, and the means to reach their flock often in remote villages or war zones.

Your offering, whether €5 or more, sustains their mission and gives hope to communities that might otherwise be forgotten.
In this sacred exchange of generosity, your prayer gives life, your gift sustains ministry, and your faith strengthens the Church where it is most fragile.

*Every donation for Mass stipends reaches its destination in full.

Mass Stipends Help Priests Live Their Mission

Your Mass offering is more than a prayer, it is a lifeline of love and hope. Through your generosity, you are walking beside priests who serve in the world’s most difficult and forgotten places. In humble chapels, IDP camps, or remote villages, they continue to celebrate the Holy Eucharist, bringing the presence of Christ where it is most needed.

For many of these priests, your offering is their only means of daily support — helping them obtain food, medicine, and safe shelter, and allowing them to travel to reach their people. Every Mass you request strengthens not only a soul in eternity but also the hands and heart of the priest who offers it.

Your kindness allows them to live their vocation fully, to stand firm in faith, and to bring light into places of darkness. Together, you and they become co-workers in God’s mission of mercy, keeping hope alive where it might otherwise fade.

Deep gratitude for the gift of Mass Intentions

At Aid to the Church in Need (Malta), our hearts are filled with gratitude for you, for the love, and compassion you share through your Mass offerings.

Each Mass you request becomes a living act of mercy. It comforts souls who have gone before us and sustains priests who carry the light of Christ into places of suffering and hope.

Through your intention, grace flows far beyond what eyes can see. A priest somewhere in the world, perhaps in a remote mountain chapel or a small parish hidden by war — lifts your loved one’s name to God at the altar. In that sacred moment, your faith becomes a bridge of love between earth and heaven.

Every offering is both a prayer and a blessing: for the departed, for the priest who celebrates it, and for you, whose generosity keeps love alive in action.

We thank God for you, and we pray that His peace fills your heart as abundantly as your kindness fills the world.
