EMERGENCY APPEAL FOR UKRAINE

BUILDING UP A REFUGE OF HOPE

Bishop Pavlo Honcharuk and Fr. Wojciech Stasiewicz (on the right - Head of Caritas of Kharkiv-Zaporizhzhya-Lat diocese) in a storage with relief supplies Some general pictures from Kharkiv-Zaporizhzhya-LAT diocese were received from Latin Bishop Pavlo Honcharuk. They depict the war during spring-summer 2022 and the work of the Catholic Church with the people during this period.

The Catholic Church in Ukraine is committed to the continued streams of hundreds of people who knock every day
at the doors of its parishes, convents, monasteries and seminaries in search of shelter and physical and spiritual
nourishment.

The Church wants to be a refuge of hope for those who have lost everything because of the war.

  • Parishes, convents and monasteries have been converted into reception centres for thousands of displaced people.
  • Priests and Religious Sisters need our help so that they can materially and spiritually support the people they welcome.
  • They also need transport vehicles to bring basic aid to reception centres and to impart the Sacraments to communities dispersed or cut off by the war

Will you kindly help ACN to support the Church in Ukraine so that they can become a real refuge of hope for the faithful at this challenging time?
